Miss Lyvi can do the Chicken Dance!

Usually when Lyvi comes over she has to play with "boy" toys because that is mainly what we have. Don't get me wrong, she doesn't seem to mind and she is so sweet and easy going about whatever we have her do. Here is proof, she is washing my dirty window in the back! I've always wanted another girl around here to help with the work load! :)
A couple of weeks ago I got out my American Girl doll, Bitty Baby! Lyvi loves her. She is quite fascinated with her eyes because they open and close.

We broke down and got a little set at Costco for Lyvi. It has a doll, a stroller, a high chair and a little bed. She is in heaven and Luke really enjoys feeding the baby as well.

BUT possibly her most favorite thing is my Turkey that plays the Chicken Dance song. She loves to dance to it. I should have taken a video because she has got the chicken dance down pat!

It sure is fun to have those cute little children come for a visit!

Not Snowing Here!

Every year Grandpa invites the big boys over to help him put in the winter grass! While everyone else is shoveling snow we are planting and mowing. This process involves mowing over the lawn about five times until it is super low (almost dirt). Grampa needs lots of help to do this.
Nathan was exhausted by all of the work that was going on! Jacob took this picture of us!

Afterwards, the boys were so sweaty they thought a splash in the pool was in order. Let me tell you that was a very quick and COLD splash, but it was a beautiful day and we had fun being outside.

Here the boys are playing in the play house. One funny thing that happened was I gave the little boys a Crabby Patty. For those of you that don't know what that is it is a little candy that looks like a hamburger. It is made up of all gummy pieces. The first time I gave them one Luke ran out to the Playhouse, took his apart and put the tiny little piece that looked like a hamburber on the grill. This time he took the green part off of it and said, "Jacob, do you want my pickle?" They taste nothing like pickles! We get the biggest kick out of those cute little kids.

One cute thing that Jacob said this week was on Sunday, I called their house to invite them to dinner. I was talking to Jacob and I said, "Jacob, guess what we are going to eat outside!" He replied very excitedly, "You mean alfresco?" YES!! The Fancy Nancy books have definitely improved his vocabulary! Such cute and good boys!
